Inter-Allied Victory Medal 1914-1918
Medaille Interalliée de la Victoire 1914-1918

Created 24th January 1919 by representatives of the allied nations for award  to the combatants of the Great War, each county producing its own version. The French version was instituted 20th July 1922. The medal; bronze 36mm diameter, obverse depicts the winged figure of Victory - the designers signature A. Morlon is at 5 'oclock. Reverse a Phrygian cap between the letters R. F. and the inscription; LA GRANDE GUERRE POUR LA CIVILISATION 1914 - 1918. Other unofficial versions exist.
