Comes with 7 x A3 sheets of copy service docs: Barry, from Castlelyons Cork, enlisted as a Boy aged 14 on 8th October 1857. Not counting underage and deductions, he served 15 years 86 days, of which 11 years 7 months were spent overseas, including 1 year in the East Indies, 6 years 6 months New Zealand, 4 years 1 month Ceylon. Not the model soldier by a long chalk, Barry appears 36 times in the Regimental defaulters book, and was tried 6 times by Court Marshal.
