The Victory Medal 1914 - 1918
Medaille de la Victoire  1914 - 1918

     Instituted 15th July 1919 and awarded to all those who served between the 1st August 1914 and the 11th November 1918.
     Description; 36mm in bronze, obverse depicts winged victory standing on a radiant globe, arms outstretched holding a sword and a laurel wreath. Reverse depicts a circular array of shields of the allied nations with the French/Flemish inscription "DE GROOTE OORLOG TOT DE BESCHAVING * LA GRANDE GUERRE POUR LA CIVILISATION" around the perimeter.
 Ribbon; the usual double rainbow colours.
