3./9/39 The Regt was stationed at Khanspur Hill and moved to Sialkot. Regt continued to train as a Lt Tk Regt. The role was altered to Lt Armd Regt during 1940, and later to Armd Regt 1./9/40 Came under command 2 Ind Armd Bde, 1 Ind Armd Div
1/10/41 Regt was mobilized 3/11/41 Moved to Malir near Karachi
5/11/41 Came under command 1 Ind Armd Bde, 1 Ind Armd Div 1/1/42 1 Ind Armd Bde re-designated 251 Ind Armd Bde and 1 Ind Armd Div to 31 Ind Armd Div
31/8/42 Moved to Bolarum Deccan with Bde 251 Ind Armd Bde became an Independent Bde 23/3/43 Moved to Tiruvallur near Madras with Bde
10/43  3DG Gp was formed on disbandment of 251 Ind Armd Bde 11/12/43 Moved to Yairipok Imphal Area and came under command 254 Ind Tk Bde
1944 Between May & July "A", "B" & "C" Sgdns, operated under different commands as follows: "A" Sqn was split in two, one half with 23 Ind Div & the other half with 100 Ind Bde "R" Sqn with 48 Ind Bde & "0" sgn with S Ind Div 20/11/44 Moved to Yazagyo
28/1/45 Under command 2 Inf Div 31/1/45 Located in the Shwegyin Area Burma
8./2/45 "C" Sqn came under command 2 Recce Regt 12./2/45 Half of "C" Sqn rejoined Regt
24./2/45 "A" Sqn with 5 Inf Bde  and........."B" Sqn with 258 Bde
28/ 2/45 "C" Sqn with 4 Inf Bde End of month sees Regt across the Irrawaddy 8/3/45 "A" Sqn under command 5 Inf Bde
14/3/45 "B" Sqn became 4 Corps Reserve 19/ 3/45 "A" Sqn under command 4 Inf Bde
29/3/45 "C" Sqn under command 5 Inf Bde 31/ 3/45 Regt located in the Myotha Area
7/4/45 Regt came under command 7 Ind Div at Pagan 24/4/45 Came under command 20 Ind Div
20/ 5/45 Regt relieved of all operational commitments 28/5/45 Moved to Rangoon
18/5/45 Left Burma for Madras India 8/7/45 Moved to Ahmednagar with 254 Ind Tk Bde No further change
