2nd Battalion Middlesex Regiment.
200567 Private Harold Ernest Taylor, Killed in Action, France
and Flanders 24th April 1918. The battalion suffered
heavily this day with 62 of Taylor's brothers in arms killed
and many more wounded holding back the continuing German onslaught.
- These attacks were part of what became known as the "German spring
offensive" - an offensive which ultimately failed costing the
Germans the lives of a
million men....
