Interesting Glastonbury family collection of a Gallipoli casualty trio, plus eight others.

Trio: 10905 Pte. P. G. Alves. Dorset R.
10905 Private Percival George Alves, 5th Battalion Dorsetshire Regiment, Killed in Action Gallipoli 9th August 1915, Age 22. Son of George and Jessie Alves of 21 Norbins Road Glastonbury, Somerset. Commemorated Helles Memorial . The 5th (Service) Battalion Dorsetshire Regiment landed at Suvla Bay on the 6th August 1915. On the 8th they were recorded as being under shrapnel and sniper fire during their left flank support of the attacks on Chocolate Hill, and on the 9th attacking Turk trenches at Karakol Dagh.

2. Gilt 1954 Fédération Internationale Motocycliste  (FIM) medal reverse embossed “1954 XXIX I.S.D.T. Llandrindod Wells. And engraved “P.H. Alves”
