b1100. Group of 4; Military Cross GV , 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal.

16-354 Pte. J. Noble. North'd Fus. on the star (The Newcastle Commercials, Northumberland Fusiliers). And  'Lieut J. Noble' on the pair, MC unnamed as issued.   Commissioned into the Durham Light Infantry. MC  with 12th Battalion DLI   A narrow slot has been cut through the very top of the MC suspension , I assume so it could be removed from the ribbon without dismantling, this is hidden behind the ribbon. Otherwise excellent condition. mounted on an interesting wearing bar with the ribbons secured with 11 knurled nuts (one missing)

For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty while in charge of a platoon carrying material to the front line. In spite of a heavy barrage and numerous casualties, he made three journeys from the front to rear. Throughout the operations he showed complete disregard of personal danger, and was of very great assistance during the work of
